I have two pairs of shoes that I have had the problem with the laces coming untied all of the time, so I did a search to find some that would stay tied. I ordered some of the wax covered laces and I can happily say that the strings now stay tied until I go to take my shoes off! If anyone else has this problem, I highly recommend getting these laces!
