I shopped around all over the internet for a decent pair of shoe stretchers, as my new suede booties were a little tight (darn bunions). I saw some great deals like getting 2 pair for like $17 or something at one of those big box stores, however, I saw that they had plastic or plastic parts. There were a lot of reviews about those cheap ones breaking as soon as people tried to use them. I investigated further and decided if I'm going to spend some money on something that I'd like to have around to use again and again it should be of quality, not a one time use. I saw this shoe stretcher and I liked it. It cost more and I only got one, but it is nice solid pieces of wood with a husky metal turn handle. Used it and it's great! Very happy I didn't get the cheap stuff.
