I have been using heel savers since 2010, I only use the "Black Hard Plastic" one for heels.
the reason why I am not a bit fan of the metal one is because the plastic version won't make the cowboy boots sounds (the metal knocking sound. BUY it unless you like the sound, but for me it get too much attention while i walk especially in a silent hall or room.
and i gave it 5 starts because it serves it purpose, my dad, he loves it. he puts the metal saver on his boots and walks like a cowboy but not for me.
Get them if you love the metal sound! if not get the plastic one! =)

When I ordered the heel savers, I ordered a size 4. The're quiet large & I wanted a smaller size. When I spoke to them over the phone, they told me to keep the ones I had and they'd send out the size I wanted without another charge. Their service is GREAT. Awesome sales/owner people!

Clicky is good! |

I always put metal taps (shoe savers) on my boots and shoes. The curve of your heel determines what size to put on. I like them to go all around the back and outside edges. The ones on my flat-heeled shoes and boots are sizes 5, 6, and 7, but for smaller heels, obviously, you need to get smaller taps. The clicky sounds are just right--not too noisy, but people do know you are walking past them!
